Expeditions: Originated four expeditions (more): 1,700 miles Down the Danube by Canoe (1965) from Ulm, Germany, to the Black Sea; 1100 Miles in Japan by Sea Kayak (1967) from Shimonoseki to Tokyo; 900 Mile Walking Trek Through the Romanian Carpathian Mountains (1969); 500 Miles Through the Korean Islands by Sea Kayak (1987) from Mok'po to Pusan and authored the NG articles on the Japan and the Carpathians
